Legal Aid

Legal Aid & Access to Justice

  • Forest Rights & Tribal Justice: Netrutva Foundation works with Scheduled Tribes and traditional forest dwellers in Maharashtra for recognition of forest rights, community participation and forest protection.
  • Implementation of PESA Act: Active interventions in Korchi, Antagarh, Kurkheda and Gadchiroli to strengthen Gram Sabha participation and self-governance in Scheduled Areas.
  • Legal Assistance to Toddy Tappers: Legal aid support including bail petitions and legal counselling for marginalized toddy tapper communities affected under the Bihar Excise Act, 2016.
  • Legal Interventions: Assistance in registration of FIRs and legal representation for victims of SC/ST atrocities, domestic violence and other human rights violations in Bihar and Maharashtra.
  • PIL Against Illegal Land Acquisition: Legal action and PIL filed before Nagpur High Court against illegal land acquisition affecting tribal communities in Antagarh, Maharashtra.

Livelihood Support & Skill Development

  • Craft Work Training: Skill development programs for toddy tapper communities in Bihar using palm and date leaves to create eco-friendly craft products and sustainable livelihood opportunities.
  • Self-Help Group Formation: Promotion of SHGs for economic empowerment, entrepreneurship and revival of traditional craft skills among marginalized communities.
Our livelihood initiatives focus on dignity, self-employment, traditional knowledge preservation and economic sustainability for vulnerable communities.
